Introducing the CHRYSALIS PROJECT: A Bold New Beginning for Families

Armagh House together with community collaborators is proud to launch the Chrysalis Project—a groundbreaking, first-of-its-kind early intervention program in the Region of Peel.

By reaching families early, the Chrysalis Project is designed to address conflict before it has the opportunity to escalate—helping build safer homes, stronger families, and healthier communities.

Inspired by the transformative power of a chrysalis, this innovative initiative provides in community wraparound support to families facing high conflict—intervening early, before tensions escalate into crisis.

This is more than a program—it's a new path forward. A fresh approach. A commitment to healing, safety, and change at the roots.

What It Does

  • Identifies families in high-conflict situations (not involving physical violence or coercive control)

  • Provides therapeutic support and links to services such as: housing, legal aid, employment and more

  • Engages couples as partners in change, fostering early intervention to disrupt harmful patterns in relationships

  • Delivers specialized support for children, to help them express emotions, build resilience, and heal in safe, creative ways

Who It Helps

Couples and Families:

  • Experiencing frequent arguments and difficulty managing emotions.

  • Committed to wanting healthier relationships

  • There is no ongoing physical abuse or one partner trying to control the other

Goals & Impact

  • Prevent escalation of conflict or violence

  • Improve family dynamics and relationship health

  • Develop a community-based model rooted in collaboration, delivering timely, responsive services that can be scaled and adapted to meet needs

  • Launching Fall 2025 as a 3-year pilot in the Region of Peel
