Armagh is Peel Region’s only transitional supportive housing program, offering safe and affordable housing for women who have experienced abuse, with or without children. Unlike emergency shelters that provide short-term stays, we offer long-term housing stability combined with comprehensive support services, helping residents build the skills and supports needed for successful independent living.
Violence Against Women
Violence against women is the intentional use of tactics that give a person power and control over a woman by creating fear and/or dependency.
Women often remain in abusive environments because they have minimal family support, financial means or housing alternatives.
We have a collection of helpful community resources, contact information for crisis lines and shelters, and information on other community resources.
